Vocational Proficiency Education In Boarding Schools

The purpose of this research is to describe and describe, vocational proficiency education in Boarding Schools. Grand Teory in this study uses the theory from Terry (1958) dividing the four basic functions of management, namely Planning, Organizing, Actuating and Controlling. The results showed that vocational skills education in an effort to improve the entrepreneurial spirit in boarding schools is still not maximal. It is proven that only a few Boarding Schools graduates have an entrepreneurial spirit. Vocational proficiency education in boarding is more likely to provide theory than practice so that the learning stategi provided is less comprehensive, innovative, and creative.

Effective Expenditure of Education and Health Budget in East Java Province, Indonesia

Local government spending will directly impact on the quality of public services received by the community. Government spending that are not optimal will result in the decreasing of quality of public services, the data from the Director General of Financial Balance (DJPK) in 2015, spending on education and health showed as the highest spending rate in East Java provincial budget in 2015. This research used Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to see which districts of the city that succeed to reach a 100% level efficiency level, which one does not. All data used in this research is secondary data refers to data released by Director General of Financial Balance and Central Bureau of Statistics of East Java Province. The efficiency value obtained from the calculation of DEA is relative, it means that the efficiency is only applicable in a group of economic unit under investigation. Calculation of efficiency in this study is using the education and health budgets as input and the index of education and health as the achieved output. Asset Mapping as a Base for Traditional Islamic Boarding School (Pesantren) Sheep Farming Development in Ngawonggo Village, Malang Regency, Indonesia

The research aim was to identify the assets of Ngawonngo Village, Malang Regency to support the establishment of Traditional Islamic Boarding School Sheep Farming. The study was conducted in Ngawonggo Village, Tajinan District, Malang Regency. The methods used in the research was qualitative research with descriptive data analysis. The results of the study There are six (physical, natural resources, human resources, financial, technology, and social capital) of Ngawonggo Village, Tajinan District, Malang Regency. Lack of physical, technological, and financial assets has a positive side where people will have a stronger motivation to improve their wellbeing. The potential of natural assets, human resources, and social capital can solve community problems and improve other assets that are not yet optimal. The sheep breeding business initiated by the pesantren as an influential institution is a strategic plan to develop the Tajinan Village as a center for sheep farming.
Determining of Misconceptions by Means of Three-Tire Test about the Unit Human and Environment

Abstract: Studies carried out concerning concepts are very important especially in the topics of science and technology. In order for significant and lasting learning to take place, it is very important to identify inconsistency between pre-information and newly learnt information before students participate in formal lessons of science and technology. In addition to chievement tests misconception tests should also be carried out to identify knowledge of students in relation to concepts and their misconceptions if any. From a total of 12 questions a 3 tier test was made in order to develop an effective and reliable scale for students in primary school 7th grade in the unit human and environment and in addition to also identify misconceptions. The answers that the students gave were saved in Ms excel program. Calculations in related categories were done using this program. At the end of the study the results obtained from the concept test were analyzed using SPSS 16 program. Cronbach alpha internal consistency coefficient was looked at to determine the reliability of the scale and the value was found as 0.662. According to the results at the end of the analysis, it was determined that students had a lot of misconceptions related to the unit Human and Environment.
