Fields of Mistriaisn't just about growing crops and raising animals on your farm — you're also tasked with helping repair the town to its former glory. Some Story Quests can open up access to new areas or new features, and this guide will tell you how to complete these Quests!

How Story Quests Work inFields of Mistria | How to Repair the Town

There are two types of Story Quests inFields of Mistria: sequential Story Quests and side Story Quests. These Quests must be completed in order to advance the story and help repair the town. Fortunately, your efforts will get you some great new bonuses.

An important note: this guide will not cover the side story quests such as skill tutorials. Instead, this guide focuses on the Story Quests that must be completed in sequence in order to repair damaged buildings or open up new areas of the map.

You'll first get access to these Story Quests via the mail, typically through a letter sent by Adeline. Adeline will ask you to meet her somewhere and she'll brief you on the Story Quest. Each of these Story Quests focuses on doing something tangible to repair or improve the town of Mistria.

You'll then have to collect some resources and some money, deposit them into a Donation Box, and speak with Adeline again to complete the Quest. Once you've completed a Story Quest, you'll get a letter from Adeline in the mail detailing the next one.

It is essential that you make completing these Story Quests a priority — many useful features, new items, and gear upgrades can't be accessed until their associated projects are completed.

EveryFields of MistriaStory Quest for Town Upgrades and Repairs

Here is everyFields of MistriaStory Quest that will either open up new areas in the region or give you access to new items and features. Remember, these Story Quests must be completed in the sequence listed below!

"Repair the Bridge" Story Quest

Requirements

• Complete early Tutorial Quests
• Meet Adeline near the bridge on the Eastern Road
• 60 Wood
• 60 Stone
• Speak to Adeline once all resources are in the Donation Box

The "Repair the Bridge" Story Quest is the first major Story Quest that you'll encounter after the tutorials. Simply put, you're going to supply resources to fix the broken bridge that you had to jump over at the very start of the game.

Completing this Story Quest will activate the Saturday Market which brings a total of four unique merchants to the town square and fountain on the map every Saturday. This weekly event also causes most of the townsfolk to gather in one place, making it ideal for giving gifts and completing other Quests.

"Restocking Mistria's Food Reserves" Story Quest

Requirements

• Complete the"Repair the Bridge" Story Quest
• Meet Adeline at the Manor House
• Sell 10 crops
• Speak to Adeline once you've sold 10 crops

This is a fairly straightforward Quest — all you have to do is sell a total of 10 crops. There's no real tangible benefit; this is just a speed bump along the way to better upgrades for the town.

"The Mill Restoration Project" Story Quest

Requirements

• Complete the"Restocking Mistria's Food Reserves" Story Quest
• Meet Adeline in her office
• 150 Wood
• 2 Copper Ingot
• 200 Stone
• 1,000 Tessarae delivered to Adelineonce all resources are in the Donation Box

The Mill Restoration Project Story Quest tasks you with repairing The Mill next to the General Store. Repairing The Mill will open up new opportunities for crafting cooking ingredients, better animal feed for ranching, and more.

Unfortunately, The Mill doesn't benefit from any of the woodcrafting skill perks, so using it in the early days will eat up a lot of your time if you're crafting items in quantity.

"Beautification Project" Story Quest

Requirements

• Complete "The Mill Restoration Project" Story Quest
• Meet Eiland and Adeline in front of the Manor House

This quest doesn't require any resources. You and some other townsfolk repair the broken stairs on the western side of The Narrows, giving you access to a few more forageable spawn points and a Stamina-restoring fountain.

Completing this quest also opens up access to The Summit on the map, although it doesn't offer much in the Early Access launch version of the game other than a bush and a tree.

"Repair the General Store" Story Quest

Requirements

• Complete the"Beautification Project" Story Quest
• Meet Adeline at the General Store
• 300 Wood
• 5 Iron Ingot
• 5 Copper Ingot
• 500 Stone
• 3,000 Tessarae delivered to Adelineonce all resources are in the Donation Box

Repairing the General Store is a much costlier Story Quest in terms of resources. That said, it's worth it — this gives you access to the second Backpack upgrade and a greater variety of crops for farming.

"Repair the Beach Bridge" Story Quest

Requirements

• Complete the"Repair the General Store" Story Quest
• Meet Adeline and Terithia at the Beach
• 50 Fiber
• 300 Wood
• 150 Stone
• 1,000 Tessarae delivered to Terithiaonce all resources are in the Donation Box

The "Repair the Beach Bridge" Story Quest opens up the northwestern island on the Beach once it's been completed, giving you access to a Stamina-restoring fountain and a few more opportunities for fishing and getting forageables.

"Restocking Mistria's Food Reserves 2" Story Quest

Requirements

• Complete the "Repair the Beach Bridge" Story Quest
• Meet Hayden, Reina, and Adeline at Hayden's Farm
• 12 Chicken Egg
• 10 Cheese
• Talk to Adeline once all resources are in the Donation Box

"Restocking Mistria's Food Reserves 2" requires you to collect a number of animal products so that Reina can make rations for long-term storage in the event of a disaster. You'll need to have Chickens in order to get the Chicken Eggs, but you can buy Milk from the Sleeping Dragon Inn and process it into Cheese at The Mill.

"Upgrade Hayden's Barn" Story Quest

Requirements

• Complete the"Restocking Mistria's Food Reserves 2" Story Quest
• Meet Adeline at Hayden's Farm
• 400 Wood
• 8 Iron Ingot
• 500 Stone
• 4,000 Tessaraedelivered to Adeline once all resources are in the Donation Box

The "Upgrade Hayden's Barn" Story Quest is a serious boon for players who are leaning into ranching — this opens up access to a much greater variety of animals and, in turn, a greater variety of animal products. Until you complete it, you'll only have access to the most basic of animals.

"Upgrade the Inn" Story Quest

Requirements

• Complete "Upgrade Hayden's Barn" Story Quest
• Meet Adeline at the Inn
• 25 Glass
• 600 Wood
• 10 Peat
• 10 Silver Ingot
• 500 Stone
• 4,000 Tessarae delivered to Adeline once all resources are in the Donation Box

The "Upgrade the Inn" Story Quest is the final Story Quest that upgrades the town in the Early Access launch version ofFields of Mistria. Completing this quest will improve the visual appearance of the Sleeping Dragon Inn and allows you to purchase a greater variety of items from the Inn.
